Kaleb's Scripture Memory

This is the scripture for March.  He said it to his teachers last week without looking!!!!  The cool part is that he is learning what God-Breathed and rebuking means!!!!

This was his scripture last month.  He can tell you what a pure heart is and renew as well as steadfast!

It's exciting to watch him grow in The Word!

Life!!!

Life keeps going!!!!  There is always something happening and something going on.  I am so grateful for the friends that I have made here on so many levels.  They have just amazed me!!!!!!

I have received my "letter of approval" from the school board stating that I can be a substitute teacher here in Amory.  This was a process for sure but so grateful for the help.  I am anxious to get in the classroom with the children!!!!!

Kaleb had his first "fundraiser" at school.  Being in Kindergarten, he had not done one before.  The key for us is that in Amory there is ONE Elementary School.  You don't have 6 or 8 competing and all selling different stuff.  Amory is a small town.  Everyone we know goes to the same school.  So appreciate friends and family here and there (in NC and Ga.) that have bought stuff so that Kaleb can participate.

Still amazed at how the Lord continues to bless.  I finally got to meet with the Women's Ministry Director the other day.  She is such a delight and we are on the same page.  I'm super excited about it!!!!!!

The Ladies from my Sunday School class are meeting next week to talk about what to do next.  We have talked about a bit of everything from Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, Community Bible Study and even Disciplers.  It's exciting to see this group of women excited and wanting to get together for more study and getting closer to one another!!!!!

The other blog over on Pam's Pantry Idea's is noting the other progress that I'm making on the P90X journey.  Journey is putting it lightly but let me tell you, it is SOOO worth it!!!!!  I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!  You can check it out when you have time.

I hope you are doing well.  I'm excited to see what is next!!!!!  Joy In The Journey!!!!!

Exciting!! or Been-There-Done-That

This past month I was working in the yard.  Since I'm not employed so to speak at the moment, I try and do as much as possible around the house so that Bo doesn't have to worry about it.  Anyway, I was blowing leaves.  This has become a weekly occurrence due to the trees we have.  As I was blowing them to the curb I was just thinking and having a sweet conversation with The Lord.
When we first moved here and we realized we would have to have yard equipment, you could not keep Kaleb away from the leaf blower.  I mean, he wanted to do it ALL THE TIME.  The day I was out blowing I could NOT get him to come out the door.  He was inside playing and there was not going to be any interruption what so ever for him.  He was fine where he was.  My thought went to how much that is just like us.  When we find The Lord for the first time or we have had a wake up call that we are not where we should be, we are ON FIRE!!!!!  I mean we are at church every time the doors are open, we are on every committee at church, we want to win the world!!!!!!  And then it happens......the newness is gone. The thrill has left.  Reality has returned and we are right back to settling for the everyday.
WHAT HAPPENED?
As I continued my yard work that day I was so convicted.  I don't want to settle.  I don't want to be complacent. I don't want to let the excitement wear away and just sit.

Maybe you have settled.  Maybe you are sitting on the couch. Maybe you have lost your excitement.  Oh, please pray about it.  Seek Him.  He loves you sooooo much!!!!!!!!

This is a new year.  Start it off excited and ready to see what He is going to do!!!!!!
Blessings,
Pam

Catch-Up

So, we are 12 days from Christmas Eve and 13 days from Christmas Day.  Are you ready?  Is your calendar over flowing with more activities than you have time for?  I know our calendar is doing that and we seem to be adding more every day!!!!!!

We have Christmas Musicals at church, Pajama Day at Kaleb's class and a Christmas Party.  Bo is having his department Christmas party here in our home.  I am excited!!  We are doing a covered dish party so there is not a lot for me to do which of course makes me VERY happy.

We have a sweet friend here in Amory and she had seen a post on Facebook with a picture of my bread that I have started making.  I enjoy making it so very much.  I actually make it with 2 hands and yeast.  No bread machine here!!!!!  Anyway, I made her 3 loaves the other day.  We were talking and the next thing I know, I am making a loaf of cinnamon pecan bread.  It was amazing!!!!!  I will making more of that.  It was so easy and so very tasty!!!!!

RACK----Random Acts of Christmas Kindness.  This has been so much fun.  I actually RACK'd my Mail Lady and our Garbage Men.  It was so much fun!!!!!!  I have some others planned and I will let you know how that goes.  I even got RACK'd in the McDonald's Drive-Thru.  Granted, I knew Robert but it was just a neat experience.

Christmas is coming and I have so many things planned.  Kaleb gets out of school next Wednesday.  I have bought some stuff from Michael's so we have a projects to do.  Of course we will be making cookies and by all means a "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake.  Kaleb is now old enough to help more and so I am sure we will have a lot of fun doing that!!!!!  It's going to be great!!!!

I read a blog today that was recommended by a friend of mine at church.  I took the time today and read through the post today.  It has had me thinking all day.  Of course, I will continue to think on that and post about it tomorrow.  It was just amazing.  The title started and then it just kept going.  Guess what....you will have to wait til tomorrow to hear about that!!!!!

Last but not least, Word for 2013.  Have you thought about yours?  Have you been thinking and praying about what that word might be?  I know I am leaning towards one and it is scaring me silly but I'm open.  He will have to probably knock me over the head but that is what He usually does anyway!!!!!

Lots to write about and share.  Hope you are having a wonderful week.  Remember that He is the Reason for the Season and We are the Reason He Came!!!!!!
